Where to get a good custom subwoofer box from?

I plan on getting one 12" Sundown SA 12 being that I heard just one could go very loud with the right box. From what I understand I should get a custom box but I dont know where. My trunk space is about 31 x 42 x 19 (l x w x h).

OP I guess it depends upon what you consider loud. SA is a good sub, but it's still a single 12 set up and not a high power one...

not sure if its worth the money for custom box for a single sa 12, you can probably buy a design and have somebody local build it for you to save some $$

OP, do you have any experience with woodworking or construction? Or do you know anybody local to you that might? Shipping on boxes can get, well, outrageous - getting a simple design from somebody and then building it locally can be much, much cheaper than having one shipped across the country. Especially when you're only doing it for 1 SA-12.

If you are willing to take a trip to hampton roads VA we have a builder here that will hook you up and save on shipping. Quality will be better then any local shop.

If you can afford it, great. Just as long as you dont skimp on other important things to do it. lol

Like a few others said, there are those of us who build enclosures, and certainly wouldn't mind making a few bucks doing yours. However, with shipping the way it is and these boxes not being light by any means, if you have a trusted carpenter or the likes near you that could follow a basic blueprint, that would be the most logical option. If not, feel free to get ahold of one of us. lol
