where to find kicker l7 online???

im tentatively looking at a 4 ohm 12" kicker l7. where can i find one online for a good price and a box for it? which places are legit? and can i put it in a .88 cuft sealed box with a jbl 600.1 pushing it and will it sound good?

You can find the L7 at several places on the net for decent prices. Try ebay or etronics. Also you will need a ox a hell of alot bigger than that to get anything worth having it for. They are mainly an SPL sub so they are usually at home in very large ported boxes (4 to 5+ cubes) tuned to whatever your heart desires. Low for sound quality, high for spl. I dont really think you will like the L7 in a sealed box, especially in a sealed box that small. In a box that small you would basically be starving the sub for air and so therefore its output would be weak.

my friend has an explorer with an l7 in a small sealed box with 300 watts rms and it shakes the seat. this is why i dont feel a large box is needed. the 600.1 i think is powerful enough. what do you recommend instead of the l7? for under 200.

Trust me, even though his might sound loud, trust me, you can get about 3 times what he had with a ported box of the size I mentioned. You have no idea how much difference there would be. If you think his is loud with that much power and space, an L7 with the amount of power you have with that much space and a ported box, then it would be deafening compared to his. Also for under 200 with that much power give me a minute to do some research.

yeah sure np. its just i dont want deafening bass. if i did id buy 2 of those and buy a 1200.1 i know box matters alot but as logn as my seats shake and its loud, im cool wit it. im just afraid of the sq in a ported box in my 2k2 maxima.

Dont worry about sound qualty with a ported box. You can ask anyone on here, with a ported box that it tuned low enough then you can have the same amount, if not better sound quality than some sealed boxes depending on the driver. If the ported box is tuned low then sound quality wont be sacrificed all that much along with the higher output of a ported box.

i told my friend to buy an ed. and he did and ran it off the jbl 600.1 he blew it and their service was shitty. so i dont trust them anymore. does the magnum come in a box? and im sticking with a sealed box because its alot easier to sound good.

No you will have to build your own box but its not as hard as it sounds, trust me, ive built 3 boxes so far and it just gets easier as you go. Remember if you build your own, measure twice, and cut once.

Also im sorry to hear about your friend having a bad experience with ED. But hey all you can do it try right? Thats why im planning on the next system I have will either be Incriminator Audio (considering the owner lives right down the road and I recently done the complete install for one of his cousins in a ford f-150 so I get brownie points since he complemented me on my work hehe). Or it will be ED. Im kinda leaning more towards two Lethal Injection 12's though.

im def. not building my own box. i hated installing my components and woodcutting is a waste of time. im a college student and i dont have time to build a box right now. ive thought about reverting back to 2 10" alpine type r 10's instead. but im not sure if i want 10's again id like to try out a 12.

Ok then, if you dont want to build your own box then read stereo integrity's website for a good size sealed box for your power range, or email them and ask then take that spec to your local shop or wherever your gonna get your box built and be on your merry way.

are there any prefab boxes i can buy online? i dont have $$$ to have a custom box built.

He makes subwoofer boxes for fair prices and he can make it to any size, material, and even carpet it for you if needed. Go to his website and ask for a quote.
