you can select the 2" stuff, in twin sized, and then get it and cut it to your liking... perhaps?

has anyone had experience with this particular kind. not sure if it has the acoustic qualitys

Did you try Wal-Mart, Target or any of the Crafts & Arts( Michaels, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby) stores? Would be my first choices to look. Check their sites first though.
