Where is the tach coil?

where is the coil that the tach wires are suppose to be attached to?

is there a harness?

and where is the light switch? is there a harness for that?

i have one.. n it says the tach is at the "COIL" but wheres the coil?

If you own a DMM, set it to AC volts... then go to the distributor on your motor... look for a harness going to it... one of the wires, a large gauge wire, is the motor side of the starter... near it should be a smaller gauge wire... probe it with the DMM while somebody in the car holds the down the gas pedal slightly... your meter should should fluctuate with the RPMs! If so, that's the tach wire!
