Where is the internal fuse on my amp?

I had an issue with one of my amps shutting down but the exterior fuse did not blow. Another member here suggested the amp may have blown the interior fuse. Can anyone tell me where this fuse is located or what it looks like? The amp is a MTX RT 202. I opened it up and looked at the board. There are no dark spots on the board. Thanks in advance.

The manual doesn't indicate the amp would have an internal fuse. If the fuse on the amp chassis isn't blown, check the fuse at the battery. You've probably already done that but it's worth a shot. The amp will also shut itself down if it overheats, but it should come back on after it cools off. What are you powering with the amp?

Was powering some Orion tweets. The inline fuse from the battery is good. This amp gave a very small bit of smoke and I immediately turned it off. I hooked it up to another speaker and the status light lit up red but there was no output. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Thanks for the reply.

magic smoke = burned component. Doubt there is an internal fuse.

burned components are more visible then ones that simply stopped working. fine out what blew and from there you can decide if its fixable.
