where dual 4 ophm subs designed to go down to 1 ohm

since you can do it, I don't know if they were designed to do that or someone was just messing around and found out you could do that, and will it hurt the subs after a while if two dual 4 ohm subs are wired down to one ohm?

you will not hurt ur sub you just lower ohm load to ur amp. make sure ur amp can take a 1 ohm load .
