The Hifonics and AQ amps are extremely similar construction but when you look at the boards there are slight differences in component locations and a few other things.

thats bad for me because i was sure finna go and buy 4 hifonics bxi 2608 and chain them with a maxx link line driver
i thought hifonics got better :-(

and i was looking at the circuit board....???

i wonder if the brutus can be modded a bit to get on level with the aq if there are diffrences in sound

The AQ amp will do you just fine. People are still stuck on that brand loyalty shit. It's like ps3 vs 360 but with amps.

yes they are. same goes for the audioque bs. brand loyalty. its what happens when you fill a forum full of impressionable, broke, "me too" kids.

dont be stupid. there are LOTS of good amps out there. really depends on your budget, and your needs. the aq may fulfill your needs much better. or maybe an rf amp, or an orion or.. the list goes on man.

Seems like you are trying to talk yourself out of getting an AQ amp. Just get what works for you. Do you have the right electrical to handle a 3kw amp? If not, this is not even worth talking about.

And from what I read on here a while ago, 2 saz 1500Ds> 3000D, so now you got something else to think about.

Well, considering it is a fully loaded BTL, you will have no issues putting 3K to her. The AQ does about 2950 at 14.4 at 1 ohm and the build quality of the Hifonics and AQ are the same. What kind of budget do you have for amp and do you have the electrical for this power?

^ Plus you have to consider Maxxsonics most likely orders much higher quantities thus being able to sell more cheaply than they would have.

I love my AQ amp and i hear AQ has great customer service. Many companies use similar boards but different components.

OP, FYI Hifonics (high end) has a lot of the same board layout and part choices as DD Z2 amps. DD is basically just like AQ. I'm sure the AQ and the nicer Hifonics have similar parts and possibly layouts. However they not the the same exact amps, but they could be close.

M1

M1 uses FET's with smaller capsules, but more in number (talking about the amp section).

The 3500 looks A LOT like my Hifonics XXV Thor.
