Where does acura fit in?

Seeing as Acura is a north american company, however it is owned by honda (asia) where exactly do you put acura on the map..... I find its a popular car for people to "do up" "rice" style so it still makes me wonder, what do people think of about acura. Import or domestic, rice, or domestic rice.....

Acura is just another version of Honda, although distributed exclusively in NA. IIRC, Lexux is the same way.

Its like borderlining. Part asian, part n.a. Thats why its a poll and post your opinion type thing. I think its a matter of opinion which category it falls into. Thats why I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread about it, but then again my threads never take off, and my posts rarely matter.

i think it is still an asian automobile, as it is designed by asian engineers (therefore automatically putting it above most american auto makers)

Most of the Acura cars are available in Japan with a Honda badge on them. They are Japanese. Honda doesn't "own" Acura, Honda "is" Acura. American law limits the number of models that foreign automakers can sell in the US. The Japanese automakers "create" luxury subsidiaries to get around the law. All these "luxury" models are is the same car available elsewhere in the world badged as the parent company with a new "make" on it.

Lexus=Toyota

Acura=Honda

Infiniti=Toyota

Hardly, the only acura most that ever gets turned into rice is/was the integra and sometimes the rsx. Have you ever heard of the Acura legend....now how is that crap?
