If you can deal with the learning curve use mIRC with a script like Autoget. That is the best way. The next best thing is going with gray area programs like allTunes or gomusic.ru. I like allTunes b/c you can choose what format and bitrate you want and it is about $1.50 an album. And, It is LEGAL. The RIAA is pushing really hard to make it illegall (Like trying to force the Russian government to shut the site down or the US will remove Russia from the WTO). I would say that most artists don't care if you download there music. They just want you to listen to their music, and more than likely if you really like it you will go buy it. I know that I still purchase as much music as I did before I downloaded music. Anyway, that is a whole other discussion. The reason that I don't like Limewire, Bearshare, etc. is b/c of all the spyware and trojan programs that typically come along with them. oh, and if you live in a dorm like i do, myTunes is great. you can look at everyone's iTunes in a close vacinity to you, and dl straight from them, rather than just listening to it like iTunes allows
