Just go to a local lumberyard and ask, most likely they car order it for you.

have you tried the home depot on oakton, just east of mccormick rd? i would call first, i'm not positive that they have it. or that hardware store on oakton and skokie blvd? i thought their lumber section was kind of big. i don't use 1" mdf so i don't know for sure who has it. mlstrass knows a good lumber yard, but i think it's pretty far north... in the gurnee area

i live in Skokie. I have not found 1 inch mdf in the area, and i have been to all chain stores. your going to want a double baffle anyways so 3/4 mdf should be used. 1 inch is a waste of money.

look for plywood distributors in your area, they will have it probably going to be 1.25 inch though, and very heavy

Check your cabinet makers. They do countertops and all that jive. They will have some.
