thought they dont do buisness through their website. and you have to go through an authorized DD dealer.

yeah, i emailed them and they had a whole meeting about that today. and well they are only selling full recone kits no more parts. does anyone want a fully working dd3515? i was thinking about destroying it and making it a 12 but im going w/ a different brand.

Unless they changed their policy in the last week, they are not selling recones (complete or otherwise) to ANYONE. If you need a recone done it has to be shipped to DD. That's coming directly from steve @ DD.

Maybe I can clear things up a bit. DD will sell any DD recone or part to any DD customer. This includes recones and baskets if you want to change basket size. You must provide proof of purchase and serial numbers. They have not stopped selling to DD customers. If you are trying to get a recone kit for some other subwoofer motor forget it.

DD does not want to recone your subs in house if they can avoid it; they would rather you recone it yourself if you can. They would much rather be making new subs then fixing old ones.

A lot of forum rumors have been floating around regarding the recone thing and most are exactly that; rumors.

A staff meeting was indeed held today with all employees including Steve and Scott regarding this issue and how to handle each individual call.

Hundreds of raw "knock off" motors have been brought in from China and certain people have been trying anyway they can to get DD and AQ parts for them. We are not in the business of designing and making parts for knockoffs.

Even though I have purchased some 1508's and 1008's from a dealer though, I still dont think they would sell me recones to say a 9515 though, correct?

I've only ordered complete recones, never parts.

I've ordered plenty of recones in the past, with serial numbers, so I have no problem proving that i'm a DD customer.
