how much better is the SQ of the 1203 than the 1503 like all around not at lower HZ or anything just all around?

never heard the 1503 but the 1203 has really good SQ as well SPL. My sealed in a .75cf box. Sq is all in the install but i say give the 1503 try and let us know how it sound.

Im purchasing the 1503 soon, I cant wait to get it im going to give it 800 watts and put it in a 3.5 slot vented box!!!

ive heard a 1503 and was overly impressed. i actually meant to type 1803 in my question comparing it to the 1203, its not very much more expensive thats what im going for i just need a little more cash, i was also wondering what type of box gets the best SQ?

This may sound a little strange. But I have noticed that they tend to sound better in my opinion, in a ported enclosure. Tuned pretty low. Of course this may just be the vehicle I have them in. When I put them in sealed boxes it seemed like I lost some of the bottom end. Because i'm looking for new subs.

I want more SPL, but SQ isn't that much of a factor, but it def. is a factor. my subs right now have great SQ, and decent SPL, but i need more.

I'm looking @ the 1203. They will be in a .7 cu ft. enclosure, sealed. 2 of them.

SQ is great. Tuning a port is done by changing the length , width, or diameter of the port. http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/caraudio.htm This site has a good port calculator.
