When subs say how much space they need, does that mean AFTER sub displacement?

yes, if oyu were to build a box you have to make it slightly bigger, so its right around what size it needs to be after displacement. and the port are counts towards total cuft as well if you're going that route.

Most are after displacements. The other thing to consider is that they are not always the best for every application. In some cases more/less may be required to get the wanted results.

I was waiting to see how many people's opinions varied on this, douchebag.
its pretty clear cut. i guess in the year you have been here you havent figured that out. Sorry I thought you were being rude but clearly you are just a slow learner.

1. I don't use recommended box specs at all for my builds.

2. I didn't say I was confused, I said I was interested in seeing what people had to say about it.

3. It was made very clear that is differs amongst a few of the manufacturers.

4. I've been in the audio game longer than you have been able to drive, I know that I know nothing, but I'm sure I know more than you about this world. I mean I do have some former world's loudest as mentors.

Let's just agree to disagree, as you didn't catch the meaning behind my post, nor do you understand the reason I am on these forums.
