Before I had a rca converter hooked up to my factory radio now I have have an aftermarket uni do I need to disconnect the RCA convert or can I keep it wired a and use my rca on new aftermarket unit
So you were using a line out converter (LOC) to get a signal, and now you have an aftermarket headunit installed? You will want to use the RCA's in the rear of the headunit.
If your amp is going into protect at high volume, your voltage is most likely dropping too low. What equipment are you running? What are your subs wired to? Do you notice a lot of headlight dimming when music is playing at high volume?
I have west coast customs1600 4 channel amplifier only one 12 inch hifonics sub right now with 4 gauge powe& ground wire with 100 amp inline fuse. There is no light dimming all levels on the amp is @ 50 % .this only happened after I installed the aftermarket unit
