i plan on doing the HU myself on saturday. then on monday, i will bring it to the shop for them to run my wires for the speakers and amp. my question is, do i need to connect the speaker wires to the wiring harness or not? since they will be running new wires for the speakers and amp when i bring it to the shop. and what wires do i need to connect to the harness?

no you will not need to, if you are just gonna amp them. but just buy a wiring harness anyway, and just hookup the the yellow, red, and black. but as long as you are amping all four speakers you will not need to hook them up

just connect the red black and yellow on the HU to the wires on the harness?

those are the ground, power, and ??? wire?

yellow=12v contant red=switched power black=ground. and yes just connect the wiring harness to your cars harnees, and then the wiring harness to your HU's wires
