wheel adapters??

i was given a set of 20s by a freind and they dont fit. should i get 1nch wheel adapters? what are the ups and down of adapters?

with adapters you'll most probably be replacing your wheel bearings every 6-8 months depending on how often you drive and how you drive... some people

argue that there unsafe... I haven't used them personally but i have changed

many front hubs for friends that have... enjoy

X2. I wouldnt't use adapters. If it were me I'd have my rotors drilled for new studs.(very cheap). That is if you have rotors all the way around. What kind of vehicle is it? I hope your not talikng about 1" spacers thats a big no no.

i've got spacers on my TA so i can use the 2k2 camaro ss wheels i have, never had an issue with them, and i drive pretty hard. been on my car for about a year and a half now.

i have a 97 f150 and was given a pair of rims that fit a dodge. i was gonna sell them but my dad bought me adapters for $170 because he needs my tires on now for my brothers work truck and hes used spacers before on our 61 apache but he wasnt to sure about em. so i dont know how long ill have em on i just need them for the time being and yes their Wheel Adapter 5 Lug 135 To 5 Lug 5.5 1" Thick.

i have wheel adapters for my porsche wheels. they are race ready. from H&R. had no problems. now you dont just go getting what ever size. as they will effect the final ET of the wheel. keep that in mind

I could see using a few mm thickness spacers, but I would never, ever use a spacer as big as 1". Your wheel bearings will crap out on you.

adaptors **** i would rather have wheels that fit my pattern. Try to trade someone with ur bolt pattern or sell them, the summa aint even here yet u got enough time to shine homie

I had to put longer studs and .75" spacers to get the backspacing right for my monte. Works fine.

I have a friend who used adapters (I told him not to) to fit 17s on his camaro. 3 months later his wheel falls off.

ur not going to now how they work until u try, and then only time will tell. just make sure u tourqe the adapter on to factory specs.
