Which is the stronger motor, a TC 7 or a TC 9? What type of power can either handle with a 4 Layer aluminum coil in it? What type suspension (soft, mid, stiff) and the amount should be used in a rebuild.

yup tc9 is a bigger stronger motor with a HUGE gap for a 8 layer coil. nice motor just not super strong.

Let's not forget that the coil plays a vital role in how strong the motor ends up being. A TC9 can have a BL product anywhere from about 10 T*m to 26 T*m (both with an Re of close to 3 ohms), depends on the coil. A TC7 is smaller because it was designed to have a high Qes/Qts optimized for sealed enclosures. It helps to know what type of driver you need before you start buying motors.
