All about the cummins yo lol I like me a mega cab 3500. I watched my buddy with the stock 6.4 L cummins 3500 pull an 8.1 dually silverado up the street like a chew toy hah it was epic.
JUST LIKE THIS ONE:

couldnt find any of the 3500 MC's in this color so I had to go with the 1500 lol but same concept. It has the stage 6 upgrade now so hes making 1200 hp almost lol but this was back when it was all stock. Same freind has a charger srt-8 and that thing sails. lol its fast as hell

For me it first choice would be something along these lines... 4x4 will get you anywhere' date=' Great interiors with plenty of seating, 20+ mpg, Tow/haul anything, Runs 12's or lower in the 1/4...With some mods such as VVV

6.4 Cummins? FWIW, there was a 5.9 until 2007, and then they changed to the 6.7 for the 2007.5 and newer.

The "tug of wars" prove little to nothing. The 8.1 is a gas motor, the Cummins is a diesel, it's pretty obvious that a Diesel will have more torque than a gas motor. A tug of war doesn't prove much, the mounting point of the tow strap will cause the truck with the higher mounting point to decrease traction of the opposing truck, and increase the traction of the truck with the higher mounting point. Weight also plays a part because of the higher traction, so a diesel, being heavier, has an advantage. Air pressure also makes a difference. Run 10psi of air in one truck, and 80psi in the other, and the truck with the lower air pressure will have much more traction.

Those tug of wars have a lot more to do with weight, traction, and driver skill than they do raw power.

Put 5000lbs in the bed of that 8.1, and drain the air in the tires down to 10psi, and it'll pull a house down.
