ive had my crystal audio set for about 1.5 years or so now and am kinda wanting to get soemthing new. since those were only 160 new i would imagine i am going to have to shell out more dough.

seems like for the longest everyone was racing to get rainbows. whats the latest and greatest i should look into. keep the price around 300

I don't think RSD's can compare to rainbows. haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I'm not sure, maybe head over to DIYMA as they kinda have the heading on SQ and whatnot. Haven't seen maybe people posting about higher-end components over here on CA.com

I blew mine with a sundown 100.2 somehow....
You fail //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

And yeah I have mine sitting right here next to me, should be getting installed starting tomorrow! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

That's the forum boner for bang-for-the-buck cheap comps, not he said he wanted to spend $300, not
Plus, I don't think RSD's can compare to rainbows. haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I did a ninja edit........ Reading the whole thing>me

And they RSDs werere def worth the $87 I paid shipped. But they aren't worth all the hype imo.
From what I see, they aren't hyped to be ahmazing in teh SQz. They are just $87 and sound **** good for the price. Of course you can't compare the RSD's to a set of geraniums and whatnot, but those don't cost $87 at your door either.

It's great for a dude on a VERY tight budget trying to get their front stage to keep up with their sub stage since they do get loud. They actually sound very good, only thing is the upper-range of the mid sounds pretty harsh. Other than that they sound **** good for $87.

Not the boner of the month, but I love my ID CTX65-CS.
Ah yes, these were previously a forum boner (maybe not as arousing as the RSD's since 95% of the people on this forum are broke, but still) and as most of ID's stuff were said to have great SQ.

There's a link to them at woofersetc, they're an authorized retailer but are a bit pricier than most places usually.

Best part is they also have matching coax's if you wanna do some rearfill as well.

Your budget is $300 though, if you really have the money to spend I would personally use every last bit of it to get every last ounce of component goodness.

EDIT : What size are you looking for by the way? 5.25? 6.5? Or would you rather try out a 3-way set?
