im woundering if i can put a 200a anl fuse and if ill be alright can this wire handle up to 200a? only thing running on the wire will be a kicker kx1200.1. so it will take 150amps max but know ill probaly blow that. what would happen if the wire couldnt handle upto 200a?

IMO, 200 might be alittle high. Maybe shoot for 150 just to be safe.

edit: If you fuse to high and there is an influx of current, you run the risk of the wire "melting" and shorting out on the chasis. Big problems.

The wire might take a 200amp load but i would probley bet against it.

What will happen if it wont.

The wire will turn red and the rubber coating will melt.

id do 125-150 depending on the length of the run. The eko is a little smaller than the kolossus series. KK has a phone, call them. probably wouldve been answered in 10 seconds.

200A on that cable unless VERY short is too much. Its not just a heat problem but a loss in voltage:

You would have a 17% loss in voltage from front to rear at 20ft on a 12V circuit. The max we recommend it 10% loss (which in your case is 12ft @ 200A)

And the Kicker only needs a 150A fuse, nothing larger is required then that
