whats the imepedance of an 8ohm sub and a 4ohm sub together?

my friend just took out his subs from his box and he didnt even know but one of his subs is a 4ohm and the other is an 8ohm both svc. what type of a load is his amp recieving when bridged?

I wouldn't do that if I were him...

As far as ohm load, it depends on how it's wired, but once again I wouldn't do that.

Depends on if he wired them in series or parallel.

In parallel, it'd be a 2.667ohm load

In series, it'd be a 12ohm load.

But each sub would receive different power. The 4ohm sub would receive twice the power as the 8ohm sub.

yea he's had it in parallel for about a year. they are 2 older rf subs wired to his rf punch 360 bridged hes lucky his amp hasnt fried yet. he just wanted to know what type of load his amp is recieving. thanks guys

I'd HIGHLY suggest smacking him and making him by 2 identical subs. It'd probably sound 1000% better.
