i just bought a l7 15'' and i am pushing it with my hifonics brutus 1500d and i basically has no power to it. i mean that i will have it at like half volume and it will be loud and then i turn it up to hoe loud i like to listen it to it and i there is like no bass i am really confused by this can some one help me out

Do you mean the bass totally cuts out when you crank it up? I had the same prob. for a long time and realized my fuse was messed up and the vibration was causing it to shake loose or something. I bought a better fuse and everything works great. Don't know if thats whats happening here but just in case.

are you saying your sub plays at low volumes and not at high volumes? the amp could be going into protection for some reason. what is the voice coil configuration on that sub? if it's a dual 4 ohm sub you may have it wired at 8 ohms.

the box it is in is like 3.5 cuft my friend made. it is a dual 4 wired down to 2. and my amp does go to protect when i turn it up and the sub turns down before it goes to protect. what would i put my sub sonic to and phase to also and could you explain to me what both of those are for

it is a sealed box and know i know what the problem is. its my head unit the bass eq was all the way down but if i turn it up i will turn up the bass in all the speakers so i think the best thing to do is is just buy a new head unit
