What's the best sq sub in a sealed box?

i just got a fj cruiser and im looking to add a sub, i need it in a sealed box and im only probably looking at a 10". I have only had 12"s my whole life so i dont know how a 10 is different but whatever. But what is the best sounding sound quality sub that will thump in a sealed box? i listen to mostly rap

You want SQ and you listen to mostly rap? I dont think SQ and rap belong in the same sentence. I feel bad for typing that actually. For SQ I recomend Image Dynamics subwoofers. They are very efficient and have a very natural sound to them. There are also MANY MANY more out there, but honestly I think you would be dissapointed with the output of most SQ subwoofers. I have had 1 10" IDQv3 in a ported box and the output was enough for me, but in a sealed box it wasnt quite all there as far as output goes. The IDmax line sounds fantastic and will get loud if you have the power. If you have the money check out the Image Dynamics IDmax 10". Throw it in a nice solid sealed box with ~1krms to it and you should have great output and fantastic SQ.

yep sq and rap do not belong in same category, rap is recorded horribly

Ive got an old RF P2 10" Ill let go of cheap. Its the old version with the red stamped steel basket.

Check out http://www.aespeakers.com The owner of the company is in your state, shipping won't rape you lol. His subs are at least as nice as ID (I'm talking idmax, not IDQ's and that's giving ID subs some credit), but will probably be cheaper and your supporting your more local economy. They also work fantastic in small boxes, well under a cube if you wanted to for the 10. Designed with pure SQ in mind, but they have high xmax and very good power handling capabilities. Also, before anyone calls me biased, I'm running both ID and AE gear in my car, I just use what's best for the application, not a given brand.

Also, just so the guy above doesn't think I'm trying to hurt his sale, that is a good price for those if anyone wants some 12's lol.
