probobly the 2 12" l7's considering theres more cone area. but install them incorrectly and you might not get louder than the local kid with the circut city audiobahns.

All things considered, I would choose the two 12's, but it would depend on how much airspace you have for them.

2 12 would likely be a lil louder, wether you would notice a difference or not... i dunno. Also like I said I can get you a kx1200 and 15l7 for under $500. Great deal imo.

but i vote 2 12"s all around... $500 for a 15"L7 n kx1200 is rediculous! where at?

Definitely the 2 12 L7's. Many records have been set with a pair of L7's 10's and 12's.

In my experience if its in a trunk 1 sub gets louder unless its a huge trunk with alot of airspace. I never run more than one sub I just go bigger considering its a DD.

2 motors = 1/2 motor efficency

and with only a SLIGHT cone advantage 1 15 is the better option for daily.

Correct my facts if they are wrong (im in the process of going out the door and im not a kicker fan) if the amp is 1ohm stable and the speakers are D2 then 1 15 will not only have a greaer motor efficency but also get more power from the amp because the 2 D2's will only be able to be wired to a 2ohm load, where as for SPL burps they could be wired to a 0.5 nominal load.

like i said, im not a kicker fan, i dont know what coil configurations they are offered in, i was headed out the door to pick up some breakfast so i didnt search. if they are offered in D4 then its just a matter of efficency. Cone area advantage of 2 12's over 1 15 is, in most cases, not recognisable to the human ear. 2 12's have 15-30% more cone area than 1 15. in theory it takes 33% more to gian 1dB. because of the square design im assumeing its on the upper end of that. So lets say it can gain 1dB, you are still halving motor efficency. in the end its 100% install dependant.
