wasn't sure if one was better than the other.

I won't mind using rubberized undercoating, I just don't know if it will make a mess in my truck.

If you take it to a Line-X dealer, they should be able to apply a durable coating for you...

Acoustically, it doesn't matter. Do whatever works for your individual setup.

That it will, it is messy. I sometimes throw a coat of clear over it to seal it.

Do not use undercoating for you box , it will soften when it gets hot inside your car . I think you mean roll on bed liner for pickups ? This stuff works great to cover your box with , or like JimJ said , go to a dealer and have them spray it on .
