What's a good, small fiberglass project to start with?

Just as the title says, I'm looking for a small, relatively easy project to get some fiberglassing experience with before I go for some big projects. I was thinking possibly kicks, but I don't necessarily want to deal with the angling, phasing and whatnot to try to make them sound good with a good soundstage. What are some small, easier projects to make that I have little consequence I screw up ( but I don't want it pointless:) )?

Tweeter pods for the sail panels or a-pillars. Not much materail so if you eff it up it's a cheap mistake.
I would agree. I did my first project last weekend, and it was relatively cheap compared to making a subwoofer box, and it allowed me to learn on a small scale.

I think I spent about $40.

$15 for resin

$5 for mat

$5 for cheap brushes

$4 for 4 packs of rubber kitchen gloves

$1.25 for a pack of 9oz cups

$xx on other stuff.

Speaking of tossing a project, anyone looking for a box for 4 8s? Spec'd for 4 Assassins (2cf @ about 39 Hz) but isn't going to work out as I hoped. Looks nice. Built like a brick but too much space taken up in the trunk. I guess that's what I get for trying to build a new box without first removing the old system so I can test fit as I go.

http://chris.pfharlock.com/glassgo here man it help you make a little one
Thanks man!!! this post has inspired me to attempt a fiberglass box. I just went to wall mart on my lunch hour and bought all the supplies, except for the wood and the dowels. I might make a thread for the build keep an eye out for it!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D

i would have to say, a HU panel, is small. but uses fiberglass, bondo, paint, sanding. first you have to create a template, make the fiberglass panel as thin as posible and clean. then shape it, cut the HU hole, then smoth it to perfection using bondo if nessesary. then paint it , clear cote it and install it, its a nice project that wont cost you a shit load if you mess up. and it gets you to use all the fiberglassing technics.
