Looking to put a surround sound 5.1 or 7.1 home theatre setup in my room for everyday listening to music..trying to keep it under 150-200s. Doesnt need to be bliss to my ears but also dont want pure crap. Would like something that sounds good and has good bass. Right now i just have a tv..so anything will be an upgrade but id love to have pounding bass in my room. Ne suggestions?

you might be able to build a couple of smaller tower speakers with 8's or 10's for 200. i have a couple of cerwin vega's in my shop that pound pretty good for just listening to music. these things get the cops called, and they cost under 200. you don't need giant speakers, since you won't have an amp anyway. get a couple of subs, a mid, a tweet and a crossover from parts express and build some decent speakers. why do you need 5.1 for music anyway?

It's not possible man Im sorry. I paid about 200 dollars for my A/V reciever alone, and that was a huge discount from BB. However with 200 you might be able to get the home theater in a box, but they want offer many options to hook up stuff.
