What's a good 3dmark test for a laptop??

I just ordered a Dell studio xps 16 ( I had another thread about it ) but was having second thoughts because of the graphics card.

My other option was a asus 51gx that used a nvidia 260m 1 gb card. I haven't checked the mark on it yet but I've been told already it's very good

Out of 207 vid/graphic cards

16th place --Nvidia 260m ( 1gb ) -- in the asus I'm thinking about getting

62nd place-- ati radeon 3670 ( 512 mb ) -- in the Dell I ordered

92nd place-- nvidia geforce go 7600 (256 mb ) -- in my hp that I got in 06 , that just died on me

My 3+ year old Dell M90 uses a Quadro FX2500, and can still play any of today's game fluently (just not on highest graphics settings)

I tested the 3dMark myself and got right around 4600.

If it's the 2500 m it's in 44th place on thT list. Even higher than the one in the Dell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. And it's old!

not sure how much you paid, but i spec'ed this laptop out for a friend last week

good deal for the price

Looks good man. I actually would like to try a lenovo. But bb doesn't sell them.

Like I said the part that sucks is that I had to pick a laptop from bb because my laptop died on me 3 times under warranty so the no lemon policy came into play. They said pick a comparable laptop to today's standard. And all they had for hi end stuff was the Dell and asus. They didn't have either new n box, just the display models. So they had to order my Dell ( cuz that's the one I chose , and my options and computer knowledge is pretty low) so it's supposed to be in early next week , but what I'm wondering is if I can just return it AND the warranty I put on it for in store credit before I even take it out of the store

after tax the laptop (. Would hav cost me $1087 ) plus the warranty I paid for in cash 300. So if I got that all I would just wait to see what they have after oct 22 when windows 7 comes out and there fully stocked again
