Home Depot/Lowe's MDF is cheap at about 20 a sheet

84 Lumber around here wants like 44.95 a sheet for MDF and 70 for Birch.

Their Birch is the 13 ply, and the MDF is of better quality.

I believe HD carries a lot of Chinese lumber.
