I just got cussed out at work because the Internet told some fool that if he comes to my parts counter he can get the parts to perform his recall for free. Because he doesn't trust certified technicians to work on his truck.

Yeah, people that have had bad experiences at dealers would rather do a recall themselves vs having said wrench monkeys do it. You'll end up getting it back with 1/4 tank less, a new scratch and a used condom in the backseat.
