what would be better for me to do? I want my car to bang but sound good at the same time.

I have a cadillac STS 94, im thinkin about getting 3 alpine type R 10-inch 2ohm subs with a JBL bp1200.1 amp. I also want to throw 2 of them subs inside the car with a JBL bp600.1 amp. Would it be better for me to do 12" subs in the back or the 10" subs and how should I install it? I want the most power i can get out of this.

Alpine 10" type R 2ohm specs:

300W rms

1000W peak

28Hz- 2kHz Frequency Response

Alpine 12" type R 2 ohm specs:

100-300W rms

1000W peak

24-1,000 Hz frequency response.

JBL bp1200.1 specs:

Output 4 Ohms: 600W x 1

Output 2 Ohms: 1200W x 1

Signal to Noise (dBA): >100

Frequency Response (± 3dB): 20Hz - 500Hz

Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.1%

Input Sensitivity: 250mV - 4V

Well first off the type R's are great subs, good SQ and good SPL. So le me get this straight, you want to run 3 10's in the trunk with a 1200.1, and 2 12's in the car somewhere in the car powered by a 600.1....geeze, lol. Just run 4 12" R's in the trunk:D - trust me, it'll be more than loud enough with 2 x 1200.1's.

ya mixing sub sizes/types is a bad idea. the frequencies can actually cancel each other out and make it less loud the just the 3 tens or just the 2 12s would be
