What would you pay for Ipod?

I have a friend that wants to sell me a Ipod classic 30gb 5th gen with video. He said figure out what it would go for and pay him that. It is used with some scratches, but nothing bad doesn't come with cord or headphones. Never bought one used always new. On ebay some go for $40 some go for $100. He is a good friend and want to be fair.
