What would you do ?

you'll see a definite improvement, i saw the most improvement in quick short bass lines like rock music, used to go from 14.4 to 12-13v immediately when rock would hit on a kick drum. doesnt even touch it now. i might lose .1-.5v instead of 2-3v. i dont see any concern using them for daily, music is dynamic lol its not like your bass is a minute long with no breaks inbetween.

heh.... you are talking to the crowd that bumps rebassed tracks that are basically pure sine waves.

i have no stake in peoples terrible taste in "music" lol you and i listen to a lot of the same stuff so i think i set a pretty good baseline vs those whale addicts or whatever @hispls calls them

I have a couple of questions on ultra cap banks, First being should I install then between the alt and batterys or between batterys and amps ? Also how do I initially charge them ? Do I just install and let alts and batterys charge them ? I was also wondering has anyone found a battery box or something along those lines to protect them inside my tool box ? I guess I could use one of those plastic battery boxes and it would probably hold two banks.
build a box out of mdf or plywood, whatever you feel comfortable with. insulate with rubber or toolbox matting til you're comfortable with it - its cheap at harbor freight

use a small 12v automotive lamp to charge them, honestly it wont be a problem if you do it otherwise as in connect directly to 12v, it just demands massive amounts of current. do one bank at a time.

you can put them wherever you want, i like them closer to the amp for ease of connection but the best spot probably is by the amps with a good wire ampacity from the alternators to keep them charged. dedicated ground rules apply (you already know this). you know a lot, do what feels right to you imo. im no "expert" i just try to provide verification of good ideas and weariness for sketchy ideas if that makes sense

So should I just treat these as another battery as far as wiring them up ? It would be easy to hook them up parallel to battery bank in my tool box in my situation because I got no room left in my truck lol

And if I do it that way and hook up directly to my existing three charged up battery's with 0 gauge is it initially going to pull enough current to fry the single 0 gauge ? I am thinking no but ??? Rather ask and be safe than sorry

no it'll be fine, wont fry it just watch it and see. keep it to one bank at a time though. multiple banks at once might be too much (most likely it will lol)

just run them like a battery, if you see drop between the caps and the amps and the batts start adding wiring until it evens out, its that simple
