What would you do

So for the next few weeks im kind of screwed and I have to use a bazooka el260 for my front stage. I only need it to push 2 5x7 rockford punch's rated at 60rms. The amp says it will do 60rms a channel at 4 ohm and 90rms at 2 ohm. Which I figure these ratings to be very generous.

Would you guys run it at 2 ohms for the hopes of actualy getting 60 to each speaker or leave it at 4 and probably get way less than 60

Probably should of posted this in the amp section , my bad feel free to move it Also im way more Loud orianted than sound quality... I mean obviously if im stuck with a bazooka amp

how exactly are u going to just run the amp at 2 ohms as opposed to 4?

uhmm wire the speakers together to get a 2 ohm load?

and if youre pushing 2 speakers....that means you're only running one channel of the amp...rated at 90wrms at 2 ohms...split to 2 speakers....45wrms per speaker..

as opposed to giving each speaker its own channel, and 60w and at least having left and right separation?

Don't be surprised if those 'ratings' are actually for a pair of speakers. So that makes them 30w...

Don't be surprised if those 'ratings' are peak/music power. So that makes them probably 10-15w...

In essence, your co-ax speakers are meant to be ran off a HU which has an amplifier the size of your thumb nail. And even then, that IC is enough to roast most low-end co-ax speakers. Using an outboard amp is probably overkill...

Thanks prince Mo totattly didnt realize the whole 2 in to 1 thing would split power in half -.- and bngr these speakers can take way more than 10-15watts I ran them bridge off an oldschool orion xtreme 400.4 they were seeing a hundred watts a piece
