i'm about to start building an enclosure for a friend of mine, for a nissan frontier 4dr. to go behind his back seat...he currently has a 10" L5 in the kicker ported box laying in his back seat, and now he want his seat back and to be louder while also picking up the lows...and he only has around 1-1.2cuft

...i told him that if i were him i would go with 1 dd audio t1508 with in 1cube after displacment, with a 4" aero 24"s long tuning it around 36hz (with port firing to the driver's side.......or he could do 2 8" L7's sealed in a max of 1.25cuft......i like the idea of going with the dd to be different, but i'm sure he'll be impressed with the L7's

do an Fi Q 12 sealed in 1.25 cubes. how much power does he have availible?

the height of the box, can only be 10.75"...so a 12 is out of the question....whatever setup he gets he will get an amp to match....right now he's running like a 1000wt pa amp...so right now he might have around 200-400wrms..lol

Hook him up with 2 8s, more cone, as he doesn't have a trunk

so the 2 8" L7's sealed, will pick up the lows better than the t1508 in 1 cube tuned to 36hz?

If you ported the 8s you would have better lows but less punchy bass

well he's only got room to port 1 8.....and he's only looking for some good lows (which is what his previous 10" L5 in the kicker prefab box was lacking).....so as long as he's louder than his previous setup, he should be happy....after all, he's getting his backseat back, so he will be happy about that also
