the amp came in a little scratched from the bass knob scratchin it other then that the packaging was very good.

Sucky situtation. It's tough not to be skeptical when dealing with people you don't know online but sometimes shit just happens. It comes down to how good of a seller do you want to be. If it was me I'd have him ship it back and refund the money.

For the cash you spend shipping it back and forth, I would take it to a shop and test it. In fact, I would have took it to the shop before even opening it.
