What would you do?

I still have original receipts though.

Good luck if that much time has passed. My friend paid $60 for a shop to install a line-out converter, and we wired the RCA's to the trunk to save some money. It didnt work, all we got was midrange from the sub, we took it back 40 minutes after the install was done and they refused to do anything and told us it was our fault. I know they tapped into the wrong wires though, I just couldnt prove it.

How would you go about doing it? Threaten to go to the BB? Threaten to post the pics on their forum sites and show the rest of Houston how shitty their work is?

Don't threaten them. That gets you nowhere, trust me.

Just go to the shop, saying that you just looked into your system because you wanted to install a new amplifier yourself, and you found this wiring and would like them to re-do it with proper wiring. Im sure they would do that to promote a good relationship with you, the customer, and possibly to be recommended.

Whatever you do, dont come off as a jerk. You paid them a hefty amount of money and just want it to be done right, I dont think thats too much to ask.

if they refuse, theres not really anything you can do about it. You dont have to threaten them, it wont get results. Just report it to the BBB yourself and hopefully it will help you out.

What does the receipt say? Depending on how the it is worded depends on if you have a leg to stand on or not. I would guess probably not, unfortunately. I'm not trying to be harsh but, just chalk it up to a learning experience and next time make sure you find a reputable installer. Just my 2 cents worth.

shouldnt those speaker wires be on the outside terminals. the left one is correct, but the right one is one over. should be on the outer one.
