What would you do in this situation?

I sold a guy a set of speakers in Oct. After some tough communication, He finally had me ship them to his brother in TX. In Dec. He initiated a paypal claim saying the item was not as described. He said that a shop told him that the speakers coils are flaky. I told him send them back and I'd issue him a refund. He didn't respond to the paypal claim in time so that was decided in my favor. I got the speakers back and there is a large hole in one of the woofers. The shipping box is fine. The only way this could have happened in shipping is if something poked through the box. There was no holes in the box so I really don't think it happened in shipping. I sent him a message on Dec. 4th telling him I can't refund him fully because it looks like someone put a screw driver through the woofer. I also tested the speaker and the coil is fine. It' not brittle or hard and it plays nice, clean and loud. Today I get a message saying he wants his money back because he received damaged goods. Previously he never mentioned a hole in the cone.

What would you do? The paypal case was closed. Could it be reopened by him?

Clifs: Sold speakers. Was told the coils are flaky. Got speakers back with a hole in the woofer. Didn't hear from him for a month. Paypal decided in my favor. Now he's demanding money.

The speakers were not a really expensive set. It was a set of Infinity 605 Ref comps that he won for like $50 so repairing them really isn't worth it. I want to be fair with this guy, but he's being a jerk. I offered him a half refund, but he wants it all. I don't feel like giving it to him.

As long as you can prove it arrived to him, there is nothing paypal will do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
It was sig confirmed, however he also has a tracking number showing it came back to me.

There is no reason for him to ship it back to you according to paypal, paypal really could care less to be honest and as long as something arrived at the address it has been my experience that paypal wont do it.

Only time that it has been different is when ups approved an insurance claim and i never got the check, at which point they gave me the funds

The paypal resolution was that he would be refunded upon proof of shipping it back to me within 10 day because he said the item was significantly not as described (never mentioned a hole in the cone at any stage-only mentioned "flakey coils"). He didn't show proof in that time frame so the case was closed in my favor.
