what would you do if you had to choose

ok im stuck right now...my plan has been 2 get 2 12 fi BL's and run them in a ported box with my orion 2500d...today i found a guy who has a 12w7 in a ported box and he wants 250 for it.. so im broke but a guy at school wants to buy my kickers for 260 for all 3 subs then 70 for my box...but i know if i wait i can sell my subs and box for 400 to another guy at school but later on..if i buy this w7 im going to add one more later on and have both in a ported box...so what should i do stick with getting BL's? sell my subs for cheaper than i can get and get the 12w7 with box? thanks in advance

Wait to sell your kickers. Dont buy a used sub like that over 2 brand new ones. No telling what that kid has done to it.

The W7 is a more flexible driver as to what enclosures it works in...but since you're using a ported box anyway it really doesn't matter.

I'd get the BL's and be happy, for your purposes they'd be a better value...

Both companies make quality products, for the most part they aren't in the same price bracket. It's up to the buyer's checkbook and personal tastes as to what they go with...

its a war between some people because they fail to see that the woofers are intended(maybe not the right word there?) to serve 2 different purposes. and therefore fight out "well JL is crap because its overpriced". "Fi isnt the best out there for the money"

neither of which are my opinions, just commonly fought about on here.

lol im not trying to start any war...put it like this not all of us have the oppurtunity to listen to different setups like most of the guys here...people at my school go to local audio shops and get suckered into buying audiobahns and x plods and think they have the tightest set ups lol i dont know n e one who has a fi BL or a 12w7 that i could listen to..all i know is the w7 is very good i mean every thread someone is asking should i get *)$*#*) or a w7......haha like this one...so yea seems like most of you suggest the BL and i think i may just go with that..i dont have a big checkbook i work at the movie theatres gettin min wage hahaha and im only 17 but yea..

yea dad did....dad buys and sells higher end cars on the side and for my first car i went to the auction and had 10k limit....and i was lucky to pick up this ride....went a lil over the limit but it was worth it..only reason dad did it was because ive had a 3.8-4.0 gpa since 9th grade hahaha
