As others have said, just show you can manage money. There's nothing wrong with generous parents, just don't abuse it. Put money in the bank to keep it there. As others have said, try to get them in on it.

I remember telling my mom about my amp and wiring, and how I was doing it. She just nodded her head and smiled. Didn't understand. But while my friends were busy dropping out of school and doing drugs, I just ****ed around with my car and kept my grades up. Worked a shit job to pay for what I wanted, and my mom was satisifed. I mention mom because my dad passed two years prior to me having a car and job. :/

W7's aren't all that great. And making $200 a week will take you about 4 weeks to just buy one. Forget about an amp and box and wiring, etc.

Save up a lot of money kid. Pick out a few different things you would like to run, and get an idea of how much it's going to cost. Save half your check towards that. When you get to that amount, start buying. Trust me, there's more money spending involved than you may realize.
