I'll try to find a quick answer to this for ya (I can't really type out the explanation) but why wouldn't you just bridge the amp and run it that way?

If I remember correctly it has something to do with each terminal not sending out the signal at the exact same time and giving the coils different signals. Im not really sure what your asking but here is what i do. The box has two terminal cups, one for each VC.

I bridge a 4 channel amp down to 2 channel, and put half to each VC.

You must gain match the two outputs so that each VC gets the same amount of power. It works great.
