What would cause a headunit to freeze?

Happend a couple times now,but my blaunkpunt monitor(chicago monitor)will freeze on me.Pull keys out,the whole nine yards an it just stays on an keeps on playing an I cant turn it off,lower volume or do anyth8ing.I just disconnect the negative terminal an were back to normal,wtf is the deal?

Sounds like an internal board problem. Your going to have to take it out and get it serviced.
