What would be the best setup for a C5 Corvette coupe?

I'm wondering what would be best for a 2001 C5 Vette hatch. The rear cargo area is about 24.5 cubic feet. I'm looking for a setup with a ported box & was wondering if two 10's would work, or should we just go with a single 12. I'm looking at going with DD 2500 series subs. I'm going to get some help with box blueprints, but I think a box with the sub(s) facing upwards and a side or front port might be best. Let me know your opinions on this.

DD makes some great stuff. If you need anything let me know. I have a friend on here that can get stuff at next to cost with warranty. He can get arc audio, audison, hertz, digital designs, fosgate, jl, image dynamics, and diamond as well as a few others.

A 12" jl audio w7 would be sweet too, in a ported box. It'd get loud and sound good.

Why build a box ?? There are tons of prefab boxes out there for the C5. http://www.subthump.com comes to mind as a manufactuerer.

I always recommend a prefab for people who have no competition aspirations.

Its a simple price vs. functionality issue.

....and besides, I know the guy who owns subthump - he does good work and ive collaborated with him on the C4 box designs.

Probably not, but if you just email him im sure he can accomodate you with something (like an areoport).

I used to have a ported box for 2 12's in a c5, here is a pic, you can't really see the box that well, but you can get the idea. They were upward facing. I was running Memphis M3s on a jbl 1200.1. The box was tuned at 32hz. It was a very loud setup. The subs and port were placed so that the sound would bounce off the back glass toward the cabin.
