what would be louder?

what would be louder, 1 18" btl with about 3000 watts rms or 2 18" btl's with about 2500 watts between the 2?

all depends on the box. But the 2 should be louder.

why not 3k on 2 but two should be louder due to airspace if properly boxed

one would be louder that 2, with two they will cancel each other out and you won't hear them. the only way to be louder than 1 is 3, or more, only Odd numbers, you cant run a even number of subs inless you have a prefab Bandpass box
