Kenwood "Performance" Series 6'' x 8'' 3-Way Car Speakers

240 watts peak power handling capability

1/2'' ceramic tweeter

1-3/16'' P.E.I. balanced dome midrange

Frequency response: 25-25,000 Hz

Impedance: 4 ohms

Sensitivity: 92 dB

Im gonna get two pairs of these to upgrade from my stock speakers for my birthday, since theyre pretty bad. Im not sure how good they would be running off the deck (sony xplod), and im pretty sure i wanna use an amp anyway to get the full potential.

Thanks

House mains.

Pretty much any amp that does the power rating really. :\

Response to your sig:

I'm more of the industrial type, gangster is rather annoying. xD No problem talking to them on the forums though if they mind their manners.

So any amp that does what the RMS x 4? or max x4

Meh sigs old but i dont feel like changing it.

if thats al you can afford for speakers get an inexpensive amp like a crunch or a nice hifonics amp.

from the size I assume it is a Ford?

some of the fords will take a 6.5 without modding it but some you have to do a little cutting and make an mdf baffle ( 1/4" )

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20668

that amp is a good deal, it does 65 rms by 4 (they list max power instead of rms on the site)

that site also has the same kenwood speakers for the same price so if you buy it all from them you get free shipping on all of it and no tax //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

with a no hassle 1 yr warranty.

hope that helps.

Is the 4408 (?) the same as the TXi6408 (4 ohms: 85 watts x 4 chan.

2 ohms: 170 watts x 4 chan.)

So it has to be what the 4ohm x 4 amp rating is?

a 4408 is 55 x 4 a 6408 is an 85 x 4 rms

you should give a tiny bit more to allow for headroom.

the speakers you listed say 35 so a 4408 is perfect, as well as for the PB's he listed and they are 10 x's better than crappy kenwood, they make good decks and that is about it.
