is there a reason people do this or is it just another place to toss a speaker? I also have read putting tweets in the kicks enhance the imaging? i just dont see the reason for it since you already have a speaker right above it unless your just adding speakers all around

Part of imaging is having the speakers equal distance from the listener. With the kick panels under the dash by your feet, this puts the speakers about as far from you as they can get in a car. A speaker placed 4' on one side and 6' to the other side is better than 2.5' on one side and 5' to the other. Yes, it will improve imaging somewhat, and this is an improvement for driver and passenger alike. Delaying the drivers side will give much better imaging for driver and much worse for passenger.

Plus it's another place to throw some speakers!!!

Yes, speakers in the kick panel do tend to get kicked. What do you expect? The name "Kick panel" should say it all, haha.

Lots of people, like KHA, put protective covers over speakers in the Kick

Yea i regret spending $180 on my kick panels, i kick them, step on them, and they get in the way every now and then. But i really had no other option for my truck other than do some door pods. My truck comes with 4x6 in the dash and the rear pillars and thats it.

Same with my car. Going to try pods

im gling to do door panels like the jeep build stiga or whatever has. They look really good, i just have no idea how people mount then! Every video i watch they skip the mounting onto door part-_-
