what would a basshead do?

So I just purchased toolmaker metalworks dual 1/0 offset amp reducer for my hifonics brz1700.1d amp just to find out it doesn't fit because the reducer is oversized and not awg like my amp is. So what I'm asking is how would you hook up 2 runs of power and ground to your amp without a reducer? Could I get away with trimming both runs and hooking up to an amp? Would it be the same if one wire came from the amp and then split to two? So what would a bass head do?!? I'm running 1/0 awg welding cable btw tried searching but came up with nothing ??????

save it. You'll want it for bigger amps in the future. There's always a future when it comes to bass.... Its an addiction.
