What Will Get Loud And Clean On 1k Of Power??

I thought you were looking for a link to info on the new mags
haha no i have one question i need answered which is:

I have a pdx1.1000 amp which for those of u who know this amp does 1k @ both 2/4 ohms.

the 12w7 has a single 3ohm voice coil. will the pdx actually be able to give it 1k?? will it even run?? sounds like a somewhat stupid question but no one can help.

Yes... 3 ohms is the same...

If it was only at TWO even and only at FOUR even then likely no subs would work as most are off a little each way....

Just as an amp is rated at 4 ohms bridged, it will work at 8 ohms bridged, 16 ohms bridged, 100000 ohms bridged.

Higher ohm then rated will work... if lower, well not always

Kold Killa....THNK U FOR FINALLY HELPING WITH MY QUESTION. That's what I figured. I knew that as long as u dont go below the lowest stable impedance, the amp would be fine. I'm going to call Alpine also to see if they can verify. Thanks again.

dude. stfu.

yes, it will work on the PDX amp because it's got extremely high regulated power supply, or something, that allows it to produce the same power from 2-4 ohm.. not 2 & 4 ohm. so 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, all the way to 3.9, 4.. etc.

Yes... Thanks for telling me to stfu as you simply repeated what I just said in a different manner... I believe I responded first with a coherent enough post to answer his question. Now go **** balls.

2 12" AQ SDC2.5's would pound on 1k of power. Just did a box for 2 15's off of 1200watts and it SLAMS on the lows and SQ is very good. I'd do them ported @ 38Hz...
Thanks but the w7 is pretty much a done deal. I'm hoping I'll be pleased with it?
