What way to fire subs in a Tahoe (truck)

My friend recently got subs and was wondering what the optimal way to face his subs would be, firing up or at the door or at the drivers seat. Box is Ported at the moment but he may be goin sealed. would help to know which way is best for both.

I have fired the subs up and the port back and have also tried subs back and port back, with subs and port firing to the rear you will have a lower peak frequency.
