what US amp to buy for 1 RE MX 12" d2 sub?

Well, since being on this F***ing site, I now am looking to upgrade my system that I haven't even fully installed yet, so thinking about selling my shit to a buddy and buying a RE MX 12" d2 today or tomorrow and a US amp...

So which one??? I am still learning so need some advice from people in the"know"

sub is 1500wrms so not sure which amp is the best match for this sub??? Will be running this at 1ohm obviously in a 2.19cf before sub displacement of .19cf and ported box tuned to 33.264hz per RE's box builder...

here are choices

AX-3200DE 3000wrms@1ohm

MD-3D 2000wrms@1ohm

XT-4000D 1500wrms@1ohm

Now have 2 other questions...

1.) Would this sub/amp combo be an all around better setup then the 2 type R 12's with a mrp-m850 running them in a sealed enclosure?? thats what I have now and would be selling for this...

2.) The tuning for this sub is 33hz but i could only get the box to 33.264hz, will that extra .264hz be an issue or is that not a problem???

I would recommend the MD-3D for price and power. The AX would be a little more than that sub will want, nto too mention your pockets.
I was leaning towards the merlin, but the AX looks d**n sexxxy and the extra 1000watts was nice as well, would leave me some room in case I needed an extra sub...But if it comes to that I can always just buy another MD-3D for it...

As for your next question, are you wanting a nice SQ sub or more output? The 2 type r's will give you more output, butt he MX will sound better.

I want, hell I don't know what i want...LOL... I want it to sound clean and clear but with authoritah, so the MX is the best choice...

Well from RE's box builder I have 2.19 cubic ft and the mx12 has a displacement of .19 so in theory I should have exactly 2.0 cubic feet which RE says is optimal w/ tuning of 33hz, then the box should be good then...

not set in stone but would like to try and keep mfg of sub and amp the same...Plus I have heard good things about US amps... I will check out PG,SS, and SD and see what they have to offer...heard good things about them as well...

well, lost out on the sub, guy sold it 20 mins before I sent him email... He was selling it for 250.00...Now the cheapest one i can find is 900.00 So I am ****ed...
